NX640T Table Lamp 26 1/2" H, 17" Dia Resin Material (2)75W A19 Medium Base The most common and eye catching Navajo saddle blanket design is a double diamond twill weave. The manner in which it is woven creates a dramatic, almost vibrating pattern. While looser in interpretation, Quoizel took inspiration for this dramatic lamp shade from such a double diamond twill saddle blanket in the collections of the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, in Santa Fe. NX659VA Desk Lamp 29" H, 16 1/2" Dia Resin Material (2)60W A19 Medium Base Glass Count: 27 When the Spanish conquered Mexico in 1540, and claimed it as a territory of Spain, a free flow of trade in European goods began. Over time European elements were incorporated into Mexican and American design. All over Santa Fe - on gates, window grates, outdoor lanterns, and park benches - one can see evidence of Spanish influence. The central motif on this shade was inspired by the Spanish metal work exhibited in the New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors.
